Magic Wok - Thirsk

I ordered delivery from Magic Wok Oman through Talabat and was extremely disappointed with the tasteless food. The batter fried prawns were just coated in batter and the dynamite shrimps tasted awful and had a bad smell, which made my daughter feel sick. We paid 16 rials for the meal and ended up throwing it away. I do not recommend this restaurant at all.

The food at this restaurant was excellent, fresh, and delicious. It was a beautiful meal that we will definitely be returning for. It was a lovely Chinese meal to end our mini-break. We were staying at Woodland Lakes and had to drive to collect the food, but it was definitely worth it.

We tried all the Chinese restaurants when we moved to Thirsk and this was easily the best and by a huge margin. Absolutely excellent food and very efficient. We must’ve been 40 times since we moved here and it never disappoints.

The portion size's were tiny for a main meal. Choose Salt and pepper special. The meat has no taste and was very chewy and crispy. I was lucky if i got 8 pieces of meat in the meal and shredded veg. The chips were dry and overly fried. Husband had a different meal and his was a little better. However the same problem with the meat being overly crispy, due to over frying. We have been here a few times now in hope the food would be better. However always disappointed with the size of portions and quality of food. We wont be coming back and would rather spend our money else where.
