Contribuiți la feedbackToday for lunch with my cousin. The reservation was not up to 130 for 115. No staff to wait for tables. The service was very slow. We both had chicken salad Croissant with salad when we wanted to get hot meals, but saw that it needed an hour to get food. It took about 25 minutes to get our food. Salad on Croissant was good and fresh. Green salad was good. We got no dessert because we were full. For the first time, we don't know if we're going back. Need more help! Parking is bad too caution!
Amazing food and great southern hospitality. The train wreck is a perfect balance of cheeses, pork, beans, more cheese with not too sweet and perfect tangy bbq sauce. This is the first time here for dinner that enjoyed the sweet shop a few times. Wonderful is not enough. Here's GOOD! The vinaigrette dressing is phenomenal. Thank you to a wonderful staff for a fabulous, fine South dining experience.
Yummy peach tea served in a large mason jar with a wedge of lemon and fresh mint spring. Tasty sweet cornbread with honey butter served before main course. My dinner was the chopped steak smothered with sauteed peppers, onions, and mushrooms. The smashed potatoes were perfectly seasoned. Dinner companions enjoyed the meatloaf, huge Texas chicken fried steak, and collard greens. This is a comfortable, casual, but small establishment, so advanced reservations would be a good idea in my opinion. When in town I would like to dine here again.
Loved our visit yesterday! Tried to make reservations but no answer. Went at 2:00 on Saturday and were seated pretty quickly. Ordered wine and water. Took about 10 minutes to be able to place order. My husband ordered meatloaf, collard greens, and mashed potatoes. I ordered Texas fried chicken with cheese grits and corn bread. It took awhile, but it was absolutely delicious! The chicken fillet was fried beautifully atop yummy cheese grits with a hot white gravy on the side as I had ordered. It came with a sprig of rosemary that added incredible flavor to each bite! Corn bread was crumbly with pieces of corn and delicious creamy butter that seemed homemade. Water arrived in mason jars with lemon. Mine was a beautiful aqua colored glass. Silverware was eclectic antique. All food arrived on different china plates. Ambiance was quite antique with lace and embroidered tablecloths protected by a plastic cover.. While there, I received a return call from when I tried to make a reservation. We had an incredible huge slice of coconut cake with cream icing that we took to go. Food was outstanding and though service was slow, we loved it and will definitely be back! Quite a lovely southern cooking experience!!
What a wonderful and delicious little place we found for lunch near Wildwood. Quint and Southern, The Cotillion Cafe is full of antiques, including bedding and porcelain that the owner collected over the years. Your story is found in the cookbook on every tastefully decorated table. You and the menu are through and through south. The Whistle Stop Sandwich is a twist on the BLT; it comes with fresh fried green tomatoes on a croissant. Hubs had the meat. Both were excellent. We didn't have to wait, but apparently you did most. They take reservations.
