Kiraku Sushibar - The Hague

I came here a bit too early (before their official opening hour of 17:00 . Luckily they were kind to let me in and I could place my take-out order. I saw uni on their menu which quite surprised me, because I have not seen it yet in other sushi restaurants. So had to order their Kiraku Nigiri set and an uni nigiri to try it out. I had to travel 1h+ to get home. And once home the sushi still tasted quite fresh. Normally i cannot handle raw tuna from other sushi restaurants, because it is often not thát fresh. It smells really fishy in a bad way. But the sushi here was really tasty! Will come back someday to eat at the restaurant itself instead of getting a take away :

Awful sushi. Can't understand any of these positive reviews. For the price we paid I had not expected what we got: Sushi tasted bad and we both got sick after eating here (and none of the other members of our family got sick so it was clear it was from eating sushi at kiraku). People are awfully rude and unhygienic (chef did not wash his hands or wear gloves while preparing the sushi). The place was a mess and it was overall just a really bad experience.

Great quality food and restaurant in classical Japanese style that exists since 30 years here in this place, only changed owner once, 20 years ago — my daughter (10) loves it too and also thought the real Japanese toilet was funny! Friendly people and maybe slightly pricey, but for quality we should pay a bit more.

Charming little sushibar on the outer rim of city center. The sushi was fresh and tempura super crispy. Service was impeccable. Would highly recommend, but then again I also want it to remain a secret
