Kopu Cafe - Thames

What a find! This is a convenient rest stop, nestled close to the Kopu Bridge. With easy parking, this cafe is surprisingly spacious inside and includes a tasty range of kiwi cafe style food and friendly staff. Added extras for the site include two EV charging stations, located to the left of the cafe. A real find for EV drivers in the area, this avoids having to queue for the only other charging station (ChargeNet) behind Thames Library where you can only plug in one car at a time, despite having two plugs! The cafe is also co-located with a Bendon outlet, Hauraki Hunting and Fishing and a Franklin vets. This is definitely my new favourite rest stop.

Nice and cozy coffee place in Thames, we stopped for 10min on the way to Cathedral Cove. It was not that full and waited less than 5’ for our coffee. Toilets were clean and tidy. Heaps of places to seat internally and few seats outside. Food seemed delicious and fresh. There are plenty of option to drink. Worth stopping by.

Our breakfast was great, and a very generous servings too! Service was good. Enjoyed toasties and coffee. On a very busy day, the staff did an amazing job. A great place to stop en eroute home from a wet Coromandel!
