Contribuiți la feedbackI visited Tepoztlán since 2010 and I am very familiar with many of the tourist trap restaurants and moderate food in the city. Last weekend, my partner and I stayed for a long weekend and wanted to visit a restaurant that was not far from the center, and actually offered quality food and service. We feel like we found Pueblo Gaucho. Because the city was with people during the weekend of Benito Juarez Day PACKED, I arrived a few hours before the time and asked if I could make a reservation. A beautiful waiter whose name I unfortunately did not remember (he had brackets) was friendly enough to take my name and save a table on the balcony for my partner and I. When I arrived at 7, he was ready to put us, and it was absolutely wonderful. The menu is pretty big what we like. We had a few wonderfully delicious empanadas, queso fundido and beautiful entrees. They offered beer and wine and we also had a few glasses of wine. The view was so beautiful and the ambience was perfect for us. It is a small place, but at the same time feels intimate and cozy. There were some live music to add to the ambience not too loud and very pleasant. I regret that I did not take photos of food, but everything we ate was excellent and well portioned and presented. After all, the best part of the price was: it came to about $30/person (plus tip)! This is an INCREDIBLE value for all the food and wine we had. My only regret is that we couldn't stay any longer, but we were full of food and wine and thought it was best to go home. Overall, I recommend this restaurant, especially for a couple looking for something inconspicuous and apart from the tourist restaurants on the main strip. Excellent service, excellent food, very cheap. I couldn't have asked for more. We'll be back soon!
What a great find! A block from the main road away from the crowd. The view is spectacular. The food is all handmade and delicious.
Some of the best Argentian steaks I've tasted, mouthwateringly good. A lovely atmosphere with a nice view over the main square of Tepoz. A great place to have a good meal, and very welcoming and friendly staff.
I rarely give five stars but I loved everything about this place most important of all the food. It is mostly Argentine/Italian style and there are plenty of options for vegetarians. To top it all, there are alfajores for dessert, which are beautifully home made and served with edible flowers. The decor is also great and the hostess sources her suppliers with extreme care. Never mind Tepotzlan, this was on of the best dining experiences I have had in Mexico. It is not a big place so arrive early. You really shouldn't miss it.
By far here you´ll find the best pizzas in town. Also the meat is very good and you´ll find a very peasent and relaxed ambience under the owners attention.
