Sonic Drive-in - Tehachapi

I usually don't like to complain, understanding that everyone can have a bad day, myself included. However, I had a particularly unpleasant experience with Charlotte at the drive-thru; she was exceptionally rude. This isn't the first time I've encountered her negative attitude. While the food here is consistently good and the daytime staff is wonderful, Charlotte has never been anything but unkind. She responded very rudely when I asked questions about the menu and appeared quite irritated with me. I felt compelled to ask for her name after receiving our food, worried she might do something to it. Overall, the food is excellent, and the service is typically great; I just recommend trying to avoid Charlotte if you can.

The happy hour with half-priced drinks is an excellent deal and incredibly satisfying when you're thirsty. It's a fun after-school treat for my daughter and grandson!

There were two cars ahead of me, and I had to wait at least 10 minutes before I reached the window, plus a few more minutes to get my food. My chili tots weren’t cooked quite enough; they were hot but soggy. On the bright side, the restaurant was clean and well-lit. The cashier didn’t seem to be in the best mood, but she did smile at my joke.

The food was good. I love their fries, but they really skimp on the servings! A large McDonald's fries is big enough for my daughter and me, but here we had to buy two and it still wasn't enough! It feels like they don't fill up the fries all the way!

It took 20min to get 2 Iced Teas. I appreciate that they were fulfilling the orders in the order they came in, but most places will get simple drink orders out quicker if that is all you order.
