On 03/01/20, we visited Taytay to see my friend's newly completed three-story house on top of a mountain with a stunning view of Laguna Bay, Manila, and Makati. We stopped at Buhay Kawayan for a late lunch with my friend, my wife, and my two brother-in-laws. Buhay Kawayan is a popular restaurant in Taytay located on Manila E Road in Barangay Pag-asa. We ordered some of our favorite dishes such as crispy pata, Bangus, squid adobo, a vegetable dish with bitter melon, yellow squash, okra, tomato, onion, and garlic, as well as eggplant omelette and rice. The service at Buhay Kawayan was excellent and surprisingly quick compared to other Filipino restaurants. Overall, the food and service were great, even though the restaurant operated at a slower pace, reflecting the relaxed island life vibe of Taytay.
