Waterside - Taupo

Went with our coeliac daughter. Were at pains to discuss GF requirements, waiter had little patience and didn't seem to listen. Daughters ice cream dessert came out TWICE with a gluten wafer stuck in it. Then she was ill a few hours later so clearly something wasn't gluten free.

We have coeliac kids. They loved all the options available. One had the chicken breast and one had pork belly and they shared some cheesy gravy loaded fries. They were stoked! Waiting staff appeared knowledgeable on GF requirements.

Lots of gluten free options available and very tasty! You can’t beat the view either.

Celiac friendly. Many Gluten free items. Dedicated frier for fries, which are quite tasty. Basically a high end sports bar type place (but with interesting items such as mussels along with typical burgers and barbecue items). Friendly staff and clean. Great outdoor seating available with lake across the street. Unobstructed view. Easy free parking. Good for a summer day stop.

Lovely meal of muscles had here. The chef sent the staff to check whether I could tolerate trace or was a celiac. I felt they were taking every care and the food was absolutely scrumptious and very reasonably priced.
