The Fish Box - Taupo

I’m not from Taupo, so I relied on reviews to select this restaurant, and I wasn't let down. The photos really speak for themselves. The portion of chips was generous and delightfully crispy. My online order was ready almost exactly on time. I definitely recommend this place!

This is the best fish and chips in town! It's excellent, and I highly recommend the Snapper. The portions are quite large, so if you don't eat much, one portion might be enough for two people. Just for your information, the picture shows two portions.

The fish and chips here are quite good, and I especially enjoyed the batter, which was light and wonderfully crispy. The paua fritter was also delicious!

The best Fish and Chips we have had on our NZ trip by a mile! The chips were extra crispy with a good amount of salt. The chicken and Avocado burger was delicious and juicy! The fish burger was very crunchy and full of flavour. The Mars bar in batter was to die for with a great Cinnamon flavour. If I lived here, this would be my local!

Went here after reading some reviews, we loved the garlic chips (someone needs to get on this in Melbourne! . The grilled fish, potato cakes and fried brie were also super yummy. Everything was freshly made and still hot when we got back to our hotel. Highly recommend!
