No.1 China Shào Xìng Fàn Diàn

A pretty good Chinese restaurant serving good and authentic Chinese food that tasted great and fragrant. The staffs are friendly and helpful. The place is big but because of the Covid-19 it was empty when we were there. Most of the tables are big so it is great for big group, that way, you can try different dishes by sharing.

This restaurant offers a wide variety of menu options. Fortunately, they have a high-end Chinese cuisine in Taupo. The ambiance is fantastic and authentically styled like China. I had a wonderful evening with my friends and will definitely return. The staff were friendly.

After a day on the ski slopes with our two kids, we are so thankful to have found a place in Taupo where we can enjoy some delicious Chinese food!

I had a great experience at this restaurant. The portions are generous and the staff is very welcoming. The atmosphere is fantastic.

Food was very good. Came out fresh and still sizzling. Cumin lamb and Sweet and Sour were sublime. Grandmothers brown sauce pork was yummy. Because we were dining as a family we ordered several dishes and shared. Meals aren't huge but they were hot and very tasty. Service front of house was friendly and efficient. It's a Sunday, mid Winter so very quiet but we got our food super quick and cannot fault our server. So attentive and polite. 1 star off a full 5 stars because we couldn't have the first dishes we chose due to being unavailable and we ordered fried rice noodles which never arrived much to the disappointment of my two boys. Other than that, would eat here again happily.
