Crafty Trout Brewery - Taupo

Gluten free beers are suitable for coeliacs with certificate to prove it (didn’t view but trusted the bar man) gluten free chips in a seperate fryer. The beers are actual beers with their own individual flavour which is great considering most others are very samey! Hope this place does well as it really has been nice having a beer tasting paddle

Disclaimer for the review as I must confess I was in a bit of brain fog from friends glutening me previous day so forgot to ask about dedicated fryer. It’s worth getting them on the app as there is a good selection of gluten free beers and a lovely ginger beer. Waitress reassured me ginger beer was gluten free too, I got caught out at another restaurant by karma cola so full interrogation on drinks when I try something different. I had the pork’s ribs and they were delicious. No consequences from the chips so far so appears to be safe. It is a solid bar menu, nachos, adapted burgers, pizza, pasta available and slow pork ribs and what they do they do well. Cozy welcoming restaurant with open fire and my husband finished his tasting beers on a comfy couch after the meal. There was outside sitting available on deck but far to cold to contemplate
