Good 'Road House ' Fare, And HUGE Portions!. My group all developed a craving for 'good, old fashioned hamburgers ' on the same evening and decided to give Cody 's our first try. We learned that this is a Regional Chain, but were also told it 's a very good one. We were seated almost immediately even though there was a full parking lot and a crowded dining room. Must have been fortunate timing since our only wait was while our table was being bussed from the previous diners.(And they have this down to a science with via the use of big sheets of butcher paper. <br/ <br/ The hamburgers were cooked to our specification and the 1/2 pound patties were served on a moist, fresh potato bread bun. The lettuce, tomatoes and onions were fresh and tasty. Their 'Road House Fries ' were as good as any I 've had and were also a large portion. My only minor complaint is that they DO NOT offer Swiss cheese as a choice. They have American, Cheddar and Provolone. (Isn 't provolone something reserved for Italian Genoa sandwiches? Our waitress joked that 'The management doesn 't listen to us even though we get LOTS of requests for Swiss. Perhaps you can bring a slice of your own next time! ' I may just DO that!<br/ <br/ All in all it was an enjoyable dining experience facilitated by our very efficient, knowledgeable and friendly waitress, Stephanie! We 'll be back, maybe with our own baggie of Swiss Cheese slices. ;

GREAT FOOD GREAT DIVE. Cody's is a GREAT DIVE SPOT, dont expect first class dining but expect good quality, and big portions. Wednesday night 2 for 1 fajitas are AWESOME .... Beer specials and more.<br/ <br/ Salad isnt very good , but the rolls and butter sure are (dont eat too many or you will get fat)

Always good, not great, but I haven't had any exceptionally bad experiences. The staff has all been there for a long time and we find that comforting, they make mistakes from time to time but they are quick to fix them. We always go back. Never had a problem with service, never had too big of a problem with food. Fried green tomatoes are awesome! 1/2 price appetizers at the bar.

Good Food, Decent Prices, Theme Chain Restaurant. Cody’s is a chain and, as such, doesn’t have a lot of leeway in the originality department, even if they use the word in their name. But, notwithstanding, overall their food is good and their prices are fair.<br/ <br/ The dining rooms are crowded and noisy. And one of their trademarks is a bucket of unshelled peanuts, for which you are supposed to throw your shells on the floot. Be prepared for that. Happy Hour serves 2 for 1 well drinks, and seems to go on for most of the day. <br/ <br/ We didn’t order appetizers, but did have the French Onion Soup. It was salty, the crouton tasted stale, and It was served three minutes before our entrées. This is a sore spot with me. Dinner made up for the soup. First, their dinner rolls are excellent, and served with honey cinnamon butter. My Sirloin steak was just over medium, and the baked potato was perfectly done. Others in my party enjoyed the baby back ribs with baked sweet potato and the broiled pork chop. There was a complaint about the T-bone being fatty and gristly, but I consider that normal for a T-bone.<br/ <br/ One good thing is that most dinner entrées are served in regular and large portions, so you can order according to your preference. Service is okay. Except for the problem with the soup coming out at the same time as the dinners. Waitstaff should also be better trained. Our waitress twice approached our table while carrying dirty dishes from other diners. At one point she did this at the table next to us and was jostled, causing her to drop everything on the floor, breaking the dishes. So I guess she has now been trained.<br/ <br/ Of course I’ll go back. The plusses far outweigh the minuses.

Great food!. Their food is great!! I am not a fan of the peanut shells everywhere, but I am willing to deal with it because I know we will have a great meal. My family and I have been here several times, and we have never had a bad meal, it's great!! I get the filet and lobster tail, and it is always cooked perfect. The rolls are also my favorite.
