I tried the chicken cordon bleu, recommended by the staff. The quality was good and portion size was satisfying. The meatball filling was delicious, making the portions without it seem lacking. The bechamel sauce was mild and creamy. The bread was more rustic than crusty. This was my first time trying a fancy meatball dish, so I couldn't compare it, but I enjoyed it regardless. The mango iced tea was nothing extraordinary.
The service at this restaurant is not great. It is very slow and the overall dining experience is not worth the money. The food is just okay, nothing extraordinary. I would prefer to get a Jollibee burger instead. LOL!
This restaurant itself is located outside, at one end of the canal and gets foot traffic from the interior mall crossing to the other air-conditioned room. the decor looked very hipster with rustic looking gold filament arcs and steel chairs. the room itself. narrow (although not her fault, as the mall rooms were designed on these wise with 3 seat rows. the available interior seats were 2 stands with padded sitting and movable tables and chairs. the outer seats at the edge of the channel are also present. the service staff was very friendly and informative. the menu was okay, many selection of appetizers and drinks. I don't think this is an Italian restaurant and so I expected an Italian taste, in contrast to what a reviewer publishes. my niece and neffen ordered chicken fingers and spaghetti with meatballs. the chicken fingers were served with potato wedges and gravy and tasted neatly. the engraving was a little sharp. the spaghetti sauce uses genuine tomato sauce, not the Filipino style sugar loaded thick sauce. it was served with a piece of butter quarter of a baguette shaped brotes. I didn't cost the meatball. all adult ordered meatball combo where they can choose: 1 cook or no carbohydrates (like the meat balls are served: as sandwich in a baguette? as slider? about rice; 2 types of meatballs; 3 sauces and 4 toppings. I ordered Swedish pork and bark meat meat meatballs served in a baguette with mushroom gravy and monterey jack topping (see photo.) in retrospect, I am not sure if I got my exact order because I did not really notice the cheese. I have nothing to compare the taste of the Swedish meatballs, as I did not try it before, but it was decent, mushy meatballs, which is more on the sweet side. I enjoyed the soft and chewing baguette roll with mild sweet taste. it is not really a baguette in the truest form (in its parisian crispy shape, but suitable for a filipino galm like normal brot only baked in a baguette shape. don't get me wrong, but I love the brot. an order contains 3 meatballs and is just enough for a hungry person. the rest of the party ordered classic beef bags on rice or pasta. I just tried to compare the taste with my order. the classic bark meat ball was also mudy, but had a more fleshy, salty taste than the Swedish one. I ordered the busta lime for my drink a refreshing limed mud with pineapple juice. I didn't taste the pineapple juice and I loved the brownish limette taste. the taste was right. I have made this rating 4 stars, because even if eating was quite average, I do not know any other restaurant that would serve here on the philippines meatballs like this. I know there's a meatball shop in new york city, but I didn't try, so I wouldn't know if they imitated the ideas/menu. it is quite funny and adventurous to have different combinations in their meatball folder. also the service staff was very good.
We dine here for lunch and it was still on their soft opening. We didnt enjoy the food as you can really taste the extenders used in the meatballs. We also ordered the green salad but the greens they use are not fresh. They also...use small plate to make look to have a large servings. Presentation of food is poorly done. They serve mangosteen juice and they claim they are using fresh mangosteen, though i didnt find any pulp in it. Their place is quite small though cozy. They have lots of areas to improve.
