Contribuiți la feedbackJust a typical Korean restaurant. Place was crowded so we opted to eat outside to avoid waiting in line. Food was nothing special but quite expensive. We had the galbi set for 2 for Php1600. Dishes were average. Hope you can offer non-spicy versions for those who can't tolerate spicy food.
There was a time when I was on a hunt for the best Korean restaurants or the most affordable ones. Most of the Korean restaurants I've tried were really good and has left me satisfied. As a new section of Bonifacio High Street opened up, I knew it meant more establishments would pop up. I usually try out these restaurants around Fort every Friday since my car is coding and need to kill about 2 hours before I can leave. I encountered Sariwon Korean Barebecue restaurant one Friday evening. The place was relatively new that time and there were about 5 of us customers dining in. Since I was alone I ordered my usual Galbi beef and Soondubu Chigae soup. I found the place a bit pricey but I guess since it's located at the Fort, it was already given. The food was just okay for me and kind of lacked that Korean flavor kick to it that I was expecting. The serving was also small and left me wanting to get a slice of pizza after.
I 'm giving this restaurant one stars overall because of service. If I could, I 'd give it zero stars with the amount of dissatisfaction of service they provided . Having 3 years of Lodging Management education and plus more years of experience within the food and lodging industry, this is one of the many that has failed to my expectations. First and foremost, service was pretty terrible. With just my group of 8 and 3 other smaller groups present (2-3 people), a simple request such as utensils took about 40 minutes. As we received our side dishes (ordered the set made for 6 ppl and 2 orders or Woo samgyup) a plate of lettuce had a fly hovering and dancing on it. The server had caught attention when we had mentioned it 's existence. While waiting for our main dishes to cook, we had already finished our side dishes waiting just to eat and our cups sitting empty while we caught eye of numerous servers just happily conversing and giggling. The food wasn 't to our expectation. Our woo samgyup (known as pork belly) was served and was thinner than the bulgogi meat. I 've had it at other restaurants and never experience one that curled up like a bacon(so crispy thin it felt like it just melted in your mouth) The ambience and location looked promising but for the price and quality of food/service, it is not worth it. I rather had spent my 7K pesos at another restaurant. I probably wouldn 't have lost 2 and a half hours just waiting to receive all the food that we ordered. We spent more time waiting than enjoying the meal as a family.
My family had been regular patrons, up until one incident and we decided that it wasn't worth coming back because of how the service was and how the whole situation was handled by the staff. We reserved our table hours before and upon arriving were told that we still had to wait. We didn't mind but it took a little longer than we expected only to realize they actually gave our table away. My Tito decided to talk to the staff, asking about our reservation. To our surprise, their course of action was to immediately KICK OUT the family of senior citizens they seated at our table who had just been served their food. One of lolo's in the family was supposedly on their last few weeks (or months? to live and just wanted to enjoy a nice Sunday out. It all caused quite a commotion. We went on to express that they didn't have to do that and we were just wondering why our table had been given away in the first place. No one in the staff could explain the situation and even the manager had gone on to hide in the restaurant. If they had just told us they made a mistake in handling the reservations, it would have been understood. But the fact that they had the gall to actually kick out these seniors in the middle of their meal, without being able to explain what happened, was just so surprising. Needless to say, their family and mine promptly left. We may just be a handful of customers, but if they continue to treat situations like they did with ours, they'll lose a lot more patrons. Sure, the food is just alright but we can't patronize a restaurant that treats seniors the way they did.
Food is great. Service is great too. Most of all it is clean. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: ₱2,000+
