The Crooked Billet - Tadcaster

This charming rural pub is perfect for hikers and those looking for a nearby lunch spot near Lotheron Hall. The establishment is well-kept, with friendly and welcoming staff. The menu offers a variety of options, including the opportunity to choose smaller portions at a great deal: one dish for £9.99, two dishes for £14.99, and three dishes for £19.99. This was ideal for our large group, as we all enjoyed two dishes each. The food was delicious, with perfectly sized portions that were all homemade and beautifully cooked. We will definitely be returning to this lovely pub.

We had a delightful family dinner at this restaurant. The service was friendly, the food was delicious, and there were many vegan options. The outdoor area was beautiful and a nice place to enjoy drinks while waiting for our table. Some of the vegetables could have used a bit more seasoning, but overall it was a fantastic dining experience.

I dine out at restaurants multiple times a week due to my job, and as a proud Yorkshireman, I take pride in making my own Yorkshire puddings. I recently tried the Yorkshire pudding challenge at this restaurant, and I must say it was the best Yorkshire puddings I have ever tasted. The gravy was also fantastic, making it my favorite meal since 2019. I highly recommend trying it out and will definitely be returning.

I enjoyed a tasty and full eating in the crooked billet. eating was so good that I'll be back soon. I chose the smaller plate because there was noon, but there was more than much. the salmon also came with a side of sweet. waiting staff were helpful and polite and reasonable prices. well done all.

Lovely Sunday roast, beef and pork were truly wonderful, tasty gravy and the sticky toffee pudding was scrumptious. The owner and staff are allways nice and try to accommodate you whenever possible, will definitely be back.
