Mizuya - Sydney

I went here recently for lunch on a weekday. I got a lunch special, which was $12 -- I'm pretty sure it was the "Melty beef steak with sashimi".

You will order food by yourself via touch screen. But it's quite difficult( like when you use the Iphone 2G now ????), it also takes long time. The staffs are friendly. But i dont know why they serve food with incorrect ordinal. For instance, they brought the dessert first, then sashimi, then salad, and bbq... It's been long time between dishes. me and my friend ate 2 pork belly pieces and then wait for 10 mins to an other food ????????????

I have been here with small groups several times. It is always a bit of a novelty placing orders through the electronic system located at the end of each table, and the little seating niches make for quite an intimate dining experience. Food is quite reasonable, portions appropriate, and while not of a high quality grade, is always pleasantly satisfying. Service has a tendency to bit a bit hit and miss, and in busy periods is often genuinely lacking. For a quick and easy Japanese meal with good pricing, Mizuya is worth a try.

This is a popular Japanese restaurant that offers both food and karaoke although you can just dine in for the food only. The tables are located in these booths that make your dining experience a bit more intimate. In terms of food, I always get the mentaiko french fries (the dipping sauce is so good!!) and the karage chicken. I also recommend the soft shell crab salad to share or for yourself alone. For dessert, I recommend the matcha icecream which is very very nice.
