Contribuiți la feedbackMy second visit to Hanabi in 2 years. I had dinner here and left with a mixed feeling. The food - we got a seafood hotpot. I don't eat meat/fish at all so I enjoyed the soup and the veggies. My partner had all the seafood. The taste was good (or Ok...), tasty, full of flavour. The service - pleasant, fast and attentive. On this note, I would give 4 stars. The venue - nothing fancy but very clean & comfortable. The value for money - mmmm, the hotpot was priced at $40, which, to me, was a bit of a rip-off... The hotpot mainly consists of LOTS of sour soup, enoki mushroom, potato and onion. On the seafood front, you get squid, octopus, a few prawns and a few mussels. As you would expect from a Korean restaurant, you get a bowl of rice (one bowl per person) and assorted entrees - picked veggies. I have to say I actually enjoyed my entree better than the main - the hotpot... If it had been priced at $25, yes I would have given it 4 star but $40 was just way too expensive...Nevertheless, the quality of the food was good so if you love seafood, perhaps this is a nice place to go to..
Located at the corner of Pitt street and 122 Liverpool St, and parking is somewhat an issue. Master chef Juhan Baek took over this inner-city Japanese and Korean eatery last year and focused on true delights only seen in Tokyo or Seoul, including yummy sushi, Korean pancakes and deep-fried dumplings, teriyaki chicken, seafood udon with rear flavours of the pumpkin ginseng chicken soup, the pork belly lettuce wrap, and the cheese fire chicken on the grill. TIP: I recommend that you call [--] to make a reservation as this place is always packed. Strongly recommend.
After much debate on where to have this farewell dinner we decided on Asian food but ruled out Japanese and ended up at Hanabi.
