Sushi Well - Surrey

Pleasantly surprised with the freshness of the lunch bento box. <br/ The pink sushi rice was unique. The teriyayki chicken, tempura were all good and fresh. <br/ Overall will go back for lunch. <br/ <br/ Suggest: preorder for pickup.

Went to this restaurant today with family. For a sushi place in Surrey in a strip mall, the food was phenomenal. Good service, fresh, good prices, run by Japanese people. We tried lots of things, loved tempura, sunshine coast roll, California roll. Best sushi I've ever had, would recommend.

Okonomi Sushi Restaurant delivered a good experience that makes me want to come back. The server was a little bit dull but still had the nice hint to make him okay. This place needed a bit more unf in terms of ambience as there was no music. But the decor is nice. The food came in 5 7 minutes which is okay being there was only one order of sushi for me. But i do have to consider the fact that they pack the sushi and garnish it so much and so perfectly that it pleasured my eyes when i saw it in front of me. I ordered the 'Maple Roll ' which was basically a california roll with prawn tempura inside and this spicy sauce mixed in with red snapper (i think) with tobiko and these crunchy strands of something on top to give it a crisp bite which i found amazing. it tasted fresh and was really amazing. The pink rice changed nothing except for the fact that it was pink. The taste and texture were just like normal sushi rice. I also had their takoyaki as an appetizer. A bit too heavy on the ginger but still enjoyed it. The only downside to this place is that one roll is so filling. So its hard to have multiple rolls (for me). Overall i enjoyed this place and will definetly come back to try the variety that they have.

Its a little hard to see because the area is not very well lit. It is worth hunting it down though as the portions are nice and the food is tasty!
