Konakai Peruvian - Sunrise

I approached this restaurant with some skepticism due to the numerous negative reviews about their customer service, but we were eager to try some Peruvian cuisine. We visited on a Sunday when it was quite busy. I happened to notice a sign indicating they are expanding and taking over the space next door, which should be great for their business. It's worth mentioning that they don't seem to enforce social distancing or mask-wearing, which felt a bit off, especially during a pandemic, but we decided to overlook it. The food was fantastic, with generous portions. Surprisingly, the highlight of my experience was the customer service. We were fortunate to be served by Paola, who was amazing—extremely attentive, offered excellent food recommendations, and was both quick and courteous. We will likely return to explore more of their delightful fusion dishes.

This was my first visit to the restaurant, and we dined inside. The food was delicious, and we didn’t have to wait long. We were so hungry that some of the dishes were half-eaten before we could take photos! I definitely plan to return. They also have outdoor seating available if you're interested.

The food was outstanding! The atmosphere was both welcoming and enjoyable. The waitstaff provided exceptional customer service and displayed great knowledge when explaining their traditional dishes. Highly recommended!

I've been living in the Sunrise area for about three years and started looking for good Peruvian restaurants in this area. I was very impressed by the quality, the presentation of food and taste were ALL EXCELLENT. I ordered Papa a la Huancaina as an appetizer, then Tacu Tacu con Lomo Saltado as a main dish and finally Suspiro a la Limeña as a dessert. Both Paolo and Angies Service were the best.

The service and food was phenomenal, the waiting time was fast, portions were large, the waitress was friendly and patient while we chose what we wanted to order. I recommend this place if your a person that likes to eat and it is a very nice place to eat as well. Love it and will definitely come back. 100 percent recommended for anyone!!!
