Contribuiți la feedbackWe had a strange experience at this restaurant. It seemed deserted late on a Monday night, with only a few patrons outside smoking and drinking. The server/bartender/cashier seemed disappointed that we wanted food. The chef, who was engrossed in their phone, appeared to be the person in charge. Although the restaurant was listed as Mediterranean with good reviews, the menu was more bar and grill with a hint of Mediterranean. I ordered a gyro wrap and my boyfriend ordered a pastrami sandwich, but they forgot to customize his order. The atmosphere was odd, with a large dining area by big windows and a small bar area with sports playing in the background. I heard a microwave going off, which was disappointing. The gyro meat seemed microwaved, as did possibly the pastrami. The gyro was large and tasty, with fresh ingredients and light tzatziki. The lavash bread was a nice change from pita. Overall, it was a decent option for a late night meal in Sunnyvale, but nothing special.
Ordered: -garlic fries -onion rings -beef gyro (comes with chips or drink) Pro: -friendly service with owner happy to answer my questions and make order accommodations -complimentary drink or drink with a gyro order -beef gyro was juicy -fries tasted fresh were crunchy. Would be better in a paper bag instead of a tin container to keep them crunchy Con: -cashier was half wearing his mask with his nose sticking out which made me uncomfortable. Multiple employees were not wearing masks and hanging around
We were looking for a sandwich spot for lunch and Bella's Bar Grill appeared as the closest option. Mediterranean cuisine is one of our favorites, so we decided to give it a try. When we arrived, we saw a few people already waiting to pick up their food. We waited a few minutes to place our order. Despite the fact that the Soccer World Cup was playing on TV, we didn't mind the 20-minute wait for our food. We ordered a Chicken Kabab wrap, a falafel eggplant wrap, onion rings, and chips. The owner was very attentive, asking us about our sauce preferences to customize our wraps. I requested extra spice for the falafel eggplant wrap. When our food arrived with hot and crispy onion rings, we were blown away. The chicken was tender and delicious with tahini sauce, but the falafel eggplant wrap was truly amazing. It had a perfect balance of spice, crispy falafel, tahini, and other sauces. The eggplant was cooked just right, adding great flavor to the falafel. The onion rings were also tasty without being overly fried. The owner was friendly and even chatted with us about the soccer game. We spent about an hour there and were happy we chose Bella's. They have a wide variety of sandwich and wrap options on their menu that we'd love to try next time. We wanted to try the Baba Ganoush but there's always next time!
Cute spot! Glad to have found Bella's after a hike At Baylands Park. Owner very friendly and accommodating to my liking. The chicken Buffalo wings were awesome. I want to come back just for them. They are fresh never frozen And a special marinade. I also want to Come back when I have time to They the tandoori wings...it takes about to 20 minutes to prepare if The clay oven not already warmed. My beef Kabob was just ok I would suggest adding some More seasoning or onions to the meat for More flavor. Falafel was good. Thank you for your friendly Service . will be back.
Service: 1 Star - The service was terrible, with no apology or update provided as to why the food was taking so long to prepare. They even couldn't provide a receipt when requested. Taste: 0 Stars - Despite ordering pastrami sandwiches, the restaurant was unable to serve them after an hour of waiting. It was unacceptable for such a simple dish to take that long to make. Overall Experience: 0 Stars - This was a disappointing experience overall, with zero stars given. It's unclear how this place has a high rating when it takes so long to prepare a simple sandwich. Don't waste your time here, go somewhere else.
