Thai Bay Bar&restaurant - Sunderland

The food was gorgeous, incredible taste. The dirty cow was amazing, most tender steak I've ever had. The service was excellent. More expensive than most places but for the quality I certainly don't think it was unreasonable in fact I would have expected it to be more. For the quality of the food the price was more than fair. I am definitely going back there.

After meaning to go here for years finally got round to it it didn’t disappoint The menu is simple but unique with some great looking dishes. I got the beef jungle curry which was very hot, the beef was very tender. Also in our group we got the sticky nutty chicken which was great. And a yellow curry which was tasty too Will definitely become a regular here

Visited on Wednesday for the first time. And we definitely would visit again. The waitresses were all lovely, the food was fantastic. Nothing bad to say, eat out to help out scheme on so £30 off meal which was good too.

I believe that if you are seated in the bar area, you should not be charged the same prices as the main dining area. Despite having dined at Thai Bay many times before, I was disappointed this time and will not be returning. The food was average and did not justify the cost, even with the government discount. Looking back, I wish I had left and saved my money.

I had a wonderful Saturday night dinner at this restaurant post-lockdown. The staff were attentive and followed good Covid measures. The food was served hot and in generous portions. The calamari was cooked perfectly and there was plenty for everyone. The sea parcels for the main dish had just the right amount of spice. I will definitely be returning to this restaurant.
