Mcdonald’s - Sunderland

This McDonald's has got our order wrong so many times I now think they do it on purpose. Today I ordered one item, picked it up and checked with the woman that it was correct. Got home and it was the wrong item. Unbelievably shoddy service.

Despite claiming to deliver to our area, the restaurant did not fulfill our orders on two separate occasions without any explanation or apology. The order was confirmed on the app but was later cancelled after an hour.

We popped i to this branch of mcdonalds for a quick coffee . They are not upto the same standard of other mcds . THE LATTES tasted like the management had been playing with the levels of the milk and coffee .Thing as getting expensive enough without them cutting corners for more profit

I called in to grab a cold drink and a McFlurry at this restaurant. I placed an order through the app while inside, but we didn't receive our order until 25 minutes later after complaining about the wait. The server apologized and mentioned that the McFlurry machine was having issues, although others around us received theirs without any problems. The accessible parking was far for those with disabilities and was located across from the drive-thru exits, making it a poorly planned and hazardous situation.

Up until a couple of years ago this McDonald’s drive thru which has been standing at its location for 20 years has been consistently decent. I’d ate here many times over the years (even worked there when I was a kid) and the food and service was always at a good standard. However fast forward to covid and the introduction of McDelivery and this place has turned into a circus. Entering the restaurant now you’ll notice that half the seating has now gone, constantly taken up by delivery drivers sitting around waiting for orders, that’s assuming you can get parked because they’re taking up a huge amount of the spaces too. Then there’s the wait for the food, you’re waiting maybe 4-5 times longer than in pre mcdelivery times because the combination of drive thru, walk on customers and delivery drivers has orders constantly backed up which leads to mistakes and wrong orders being given out frequently. To compound and make this all worse, they have decided to open up a Costa coffee next door using the previous existing McDonald’s car park meaning that now there’s is even less places to park and the congestion in the drive thru manic. This place used to be decent but it’s now a total mess, you’re better off going to the galleries store instead.
