Something has changed. new management? eating is not the same. new staff. that was so. the place was practically empty. they are doing a lot of delivery now, although in the past this place was a great place to eat. my usual favorites were prepared differently at that time. The best place to gather with their non-vegan friends. menu is extremely customizable.

This is my favorite LA restaurant when they have guests who may not be planted. everything is adaptable and they do not flinch in substitutions. I go to the create a bowl, with hundreds of plant-based possibilities. many people go for the vegan options with the pasta mama and pasta papa dishes. from the city dwellers notice that this is a great celebrity spotting restaurant!

I've been going to hugos and hugos tacos for years. I love her! Vegan options are plentiful and clearly marked. they use organic ingredients, where possible and the service is wonderful. If I could give them 5 stars, I would!

I’ve past this place dozens of times and never thought to check it on Happy Cow. Most of the small taco shops in LA are meat heavy with little veg options and often even the beans are cooked in lard. The potato tacos are great. Refried beans are vegan. Soy chorizo taquitos were also very good. Loved the service too. Mention that you’re vegan and there’s no eye roll or unfamiliar questions; they tell you exactly how to customize almost any menu item. Loved the experience.
