Passage To India - Stroud

Last night, we ordered takeout and it was fantastic. The food was cooked perfectly and it was ready quickly. We will definitely return soon. Takeout service was excellent. For dinner, the price per person ranged from £10-20. The food and service both received a perfect score of 5.

I've always wanted to try this place due to the length of time this establishment has been open. I had very high expectations.. Well what can I say? I took my wife out for our 20th wedding anniversary, and was extremely disappointed. Flavourless sauce, dry hard meat, and onion bhajis cooked on the surface of the sun. Quite possible the worst Indian I have ever eaten. The food was excellent, we split two main dishes, rice, and garlic naan between the two of us. We started with poppadoms and pickles, which was more than enough. The service was great, with a friendly and attentive young lady taking care of us. The restaurant was fairly quiet, but it was only 7pm on a Saturday night. Overall, a great dinner experience costing around £20-30 per person. Food and service both rated a 5, while the atmosphere was a 4.
