Contribuiți la feedbackTo start, I ordered the tomato bisque, which was advertised as vegetarian. However, I detected a meaty flavor and, sure enough, I found ground beef in it. Perhaps they used the same ladle as the beef chili? I’m not sure, but there was quite a bit of meat mixed in. They did apologize and removed it from my bill. Next, I tried the turkey burger, but it was so salty that I couldn't eat it. My dad had a taste and agreed it was too salty. They made me a new turkey burger without added salt, which was an improvement, but I still found it to be quite salty. When I mentioned this, the waitress said it was likely due to the supplier seasoning the patties. It's disappointing to think that a nice restaurant doesn’t make their own patties. I ended up giving the place two stars instead of one, as everyone else seemed to enjoy their meals.
I really value convenience when dining, and The Green Apron definitely fits the bill for a quick lunch after a round of golf. We finished our game at 1:30 on Saturday and were pleased to find a nice outdoor patio table with a lovely view of the green and Stratton Mountain. Since we were quite hungry, we ordered immediately, and our food arrived surprisingly quickly. I tried the chicken quesadilla and it was fantastic—not heavy or greasy at all, which is something I always appreciate. My boyfriend opted for the chicken salad on a croissant, which was a unique but delightful twist on a sandwich. I would absolutely recommend this spot for anyone looking to grab a bite before or after golfing!
This place deserves a much betting rating than it currently has. Been coming here now for some time and the food and service is great. My favorite thing has to the BLTAC which essentially is your standard BLT taken to another level with Avocados on a croissant. It's the kind of sandwich you'll be craving once you have it. Great beers on tap views are obviously spectacular and the French fries are good too. Had lunch yesterday there and I can't imagine why this spot would have any less than 4 stars on yelp. Service here as well is great just very friendly people over all regardless if your eating golfing or just in the pro shop.
The rabbit rillette was presented on a minuscule crostini, roughly the size of a quarter. The plates were cold, indicating it had likely been prepared in advance. The parsnip velouté was lukewarm in some parts and cold in others, suggesting it hadn’t been reheated properly. As for the warm endives, mine were cold and served with a rather unappetizing date atop a bed of chèvre mousse paired with apple balsamic foam. I attempted to sample everything on the plate, but it was simply unpleasant. A note about the bread plates set at each seat: since bread wasn’t offered at the beginning of the meal, I assumed it would be served before the entrée. Unfortunately, I was mistaken. Following the endives, the servers collected our entrée choices without offering any bread. I ordered the venison filet, which, though flavorful, was shockingly small—about half the size of a credit card. How is that even acceptable as an entrée? At this point, we had a decent view of the torch-lighting ceremony from our table by the window, but the server couldn’t provide any details other than that it was an annual event. We also enjoyed a view of the fireworks afterward. During this time, the pomegranate gellee was served—a tiny portion the size of a gumdrop on a spoon sitting atop a saucer. The presentation received zero points. Shortly after, the coffee mousse arrived, accompanied by a large dollop of mousse and cherry gel on the side, also poorly presented. It felt as though they weren’t even making an effort. The checks arrived swiftly. After including a glass of wine and tax, I left feeling quite cheated. As for the service, it wasn’t impressive. One server overfilled the champagne, resulting in bubbles spilling everywhere, while another filled our tiny water glasses to the brim, making it a challenge to drink without spilling. No bread, no friendly conversation—one would assume the staff was unhappy to be working that night. The dinner sounded delightful, but that was the extent of its appeal. In hindsight, we should have just ordered takeout pizza.
A very cute place , totally refurbished (excluding the bathrooms).A great idea for après ski and/or dinner but they need to get the menu right. The food we had was good but with NY prices , small portions and funky dishes (if I want That I will eat in NYC). They need some bar food that you would want after skiing and a menu that has more choices And less funk. The food is not family friendly.
