Tia's Place - Strathroy

Tia's is one of my top choices for dining, whether it's breakfast, lunch, or dinner. The restaurant has a spacious interior with a one-of-a-kind design, as well as outdoor seating. Whether I'm in the mood for a classic Canadian breakfast of eggs and bacon, a hot soup and salad bar for lunch, or a traditional Portuguese dinner, Tia's is where I always turn. As a fan of the coffee culture, I often bring my laptop and enjoy a cup of coffee while doing some work for a few hours. I highly recommend Tia's for a great dining experience in Strathroy.

I am always amazed by Tia's Place every time I dine there. The staff is incredibly friendly and always works hard to provide the best service possible. The food is outstanding, with the kitchen staff ensuring that every meal is cooked perfectly and delicious. I highly recommend Tia's Place to everyone! If you haven't eaten here yet, you are seriously missing out.

We stopped here for coffee and a treat, and were served the local fair trade brew, Oh-Joe's coffee, and a delicious apple crumb pie. All the desserts looked great, attentive service, and a nice soup and salad buffet lunch. We'll be back.

I really enjoy when a restaurant is proud of their food and this is very evident at Tia's. It's nice, well decorated but not elegant, a place where you go to eat for no special reason. Well except the food is really good and the prices are quite reasonable. I had the Portuguese Fish, a special the night we were there and very different from their regular Fish & Chips. Not sure what defines it other than it is very good. My partner had the Portuguese Chicken and raved that it was better than her favourite restaurant's.

This was our first visit to Tia's, but we will certainly go again. They offer a Portuguese influenced menu, and they do it well. The pork was really good and the other choices our friends had were also enjoyed. The servings are generous, but I found the inclusion of both rice and French fries with all the dishes unusual...maybe it's a Portuguese thing? The owner was friendly and welcoming and told us about their seafood buffet once a week. It sounds great...we will try it out sometime. They also offer a soup, salad and sandwich buffet at lunch and are open for breakfast. One nice menu touch was the large selection of gluten free options.The decor was nice and it was quiet allowing us to carry on a conversation easily.I certainly recommend it and will return.
