The view of Discovery Passage is stunning, especially at sunset. During our stay in the signature suite cabin, we enjoyed a private whirlpool on the deck. The only unexpected visitors were curious deer. Whether relaxing on the terrace, getting a spa treatment, or enjoying the amazing view, there is something for everyone. For those seeking activity, options include taking a walk, using electric bikes, kayaking, or joining organized trips like our fishing excursion on Canada Day. Our guide Dwayne M. was fantastic even though we didn't catch anything. This place feels like a home away from home, and did I mention the magnificent view? A suggestion for management: the new fee for water taxi trips could be communicated better. Overall, thanks to the entire April Point team for another wonderful stay, we'll be back again soon!
Last week, my friends and I stayed in room 102 at a beautiful hotel. The staff was very friendly and we even enjoyed a free water taxi ride to Painters Lodge. The views from the hotel were stunning. The bar at Painters Lodge had great food and drinks, with excellent service from the waitstaff. However, the only downside was that the guests in room 101 were quite loud and didn't seem to respect personal space, which was a bit annoying. The hotel should address this issue to ensure all guests have a comfortable stay. Additionally, I believe the hotel's website could use some improvement as it doesn't fully showcase all the amazing features of the hotel. I highly recommend taking the animal circle tour to see the incredible wildlife in the area. During our tour, we had the breathtaking experience of seeing 80 to 100 dolphins, which was truly unforgettable.
I was very disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. It was a beautiful evening on Tuesday, July 15th, 2014, but unfortunately, my glass of white wine was warm and our beer was hot. When we asked if there was a special, we were only offered sushi. The server mentioned that we would also receive some bread, but it came out at the same time as our appetizers, which was bad timing. Our mussel and tuna tataki appetizers were bland and not very flavorful. The sushi was good, but we had to wait for more wasabi, which took a long time to arrive. The service was slow overall. I'm not sure if we will be returning to this restaurant in the future.
A beautiful sunny evening, so we decided to sit outside. the service was fast and while looking for the menu we enjoyed the fantastic view of the sea and a seal that paid us a visit. as an appetizer we enjoyed the mush and the huhn satay, both perfect. after that we had the healed and the braided short rib. both were boiled to perfection. Yes, that could and did. for dessert we chose the cheesecake and we say that was the best cheesecake we had in the last 2 weeks in Canada! Again we would like to thank our waitress claire for their service and advice, even if it was a busy night. I wish there were more claire’s:
Great sushi, service was not bad. we had a group of 19, which could have crossed their service, but I always enjoyed my service there.
