Contribuiți la feedbackI had Quiche Lorraine for brunch and saw the festival performers dining at the tables in the church as well.
The restaurant is now closed for renovations under new ownership. Stay tuned for a new menu to be unveiled soon.
I regret that I cannot provide a more positive review for this location. The restaurant has a unique and appealing appearance, having successfully transformed the church space into an elegant dining spot. However, the food left much to be desired, with small portion sizes that were akin to a children's meal. A group of five individuals visited the restaurant before a show, having not eaten earlier in the day. Despite this, none of us left feeling satisfied, and we are not particularly large eaters. The prices were also higher than expected, with each person paying around $20 without beverages. One member of our group ordered a coffee, which was priced at $3 and arrived late, after she had finished her meal. Our server was pleasant, but the service was slow, requiring us to refill our own water and wait a considerable amount of time for our orders to be taken. It was surprising to see such limited staff on a Sunday, especially before a show. As young single professionals with disposable income, we had hoped for a more inviting experience that would encourage us to return. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this restaurant to others.
Share the view of others that I am surprised with such low rankings for The Church. We visit Stratford once a year for a long weekend and usually double up on the Church dinner one night (sometimes at the Belffry) and brunch on Sunday. The food while a bit pricey is excellent and the service is top notch. Hidden gem swing by there some night just for a cocktail in the Belfry.
