House Of Pho - Stratford

My husband and I decided to give this restaurant a try after stumbling upon a video on Instagram showcasing its dishes. The footage had us brimming with excitement, and we couldn 't wait to experience it ourselves. However, our anticipation quickly turned to dismay upon seeing that our actual meals bore no resemblance to the mouthwatering visuals. The chicken katsu, for instance, was disappointingly thick—a bulky chunk of chicken that lacked the thinness it is known for. The rice accompanying it was both cold and hard. Then the bang bang shrimp, was excessively battered and oily with disappointingly small shrimps. Regrettably, our dining experience was further ruined by the lack of service from our waitress, who seemed disinterested. She failed to check on us throughout the meal and even forgot to bring our drinks. While we understand that oversights can happen, her nonchalant response, accompanied by a casual giggle and a dismissive my bad, only served to demonstrate her lack of concern.

Great atmosphere, very knowledgeable and friendly staff coupled with a mixologist on hand that makes great drinks. Oh and the food was great, only negative is I hadn’t heard about this place sooner. Will definitely be returning to try more things on the menu.

I brought my cousin, who had never tried Vietnamese food before, to this restaurant, and he absolutely loved it. The atmosphere, service, and food were all fantastic. The dishes tasted even better than they looked! We also enjoyed two cocktails, both of which were wonderfully refreshing.

I came from out of town specifically to try the Pho. When I arrived around 7-8 PM, the restaurant was completely empty, and the service was a bit slow. The Pho itself was delicious, but the portion was huge—definitely enough to share between two people! Overall, it wasn’t bad; it felt more like a place geared towards takeout, as they seemed to be doing well with those orders. As for the Boba, it was mostly ice, so I would skip that next time.

I usually love their food. Today, is amiss. The noodles for Pho are hard. Ordered beef broth. They gave both Pho Ga broth. Go in person, the food is way better. Service is too. Had to remind them of the tea.
