West Cornwall Pastry - Stoke-on-Trent

I went to the restaurant on August 14th to get some pastries, but to my surprise, the shop was completely empty and now closed. It appears that the closure was likely due to the decreased demand and lockdowns caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.

Fantastic traditional pasties with reliable quality, perfect for takeaway in paper wrapping. They are a delicious treat even when eaten cold later in the day.

The restaurant was extremely crowded on market day, likely due to many other establishments being fully booked. One employee was visibly overwhelmed and there were dirty dishes littered throughout the dining area. The cleanliness of my seat was lacking as it needed to be dusted before I could sit. The food was average at best.

My daughter (10) has now discovered that she likes traditional cornish pasties! We visited this branch twice over the weekend once as takeaway and once to sit in. Service was excellent both times and the pasties tasted very good. It doesn't disappoint.

Ordered a deal with coffee, Cornish pasty and wedges at 4.5 Pounds. The pasty was over done while the coffee just 2/3 filled despite a larger than average size paper cup. Wedges was okay.
