Bistro Rouget - Stockton

I am very disappointed that I received a text to confirm my online reservation through Yelp at this restaurant the day before when they have been closed for more than a month, only discovered by arriving to closed facility, no sign of explanation, telephone message still saying open and taking reservation, only discovered by asking neighboring business

In Stockton NJ for the weekend and just ate at the Bistro Rouget. I was able to make last minute reservations without any problems. When we arrived the hostess was extremely friendly and attentive. From what I gather they serve an a-la-carte menu on Fridays. My wife had a French onion soup which was incredible!!!! The ingredients were top notch and despite being satisfied with a Leek Cheesecake i was a bite dissapointed that i didnt order the French onion soup. We both ordered the NY Strip steak with Pomme Frites. Such a huge portion and we really enjoyed the fresh pepper taste!! For desert we ordered a slice of a cake....portion for at least 2 people. I could have done without the desert but overall was a great start to a weekend getaway. A few things of note: we dont drink but if you do BYOB. Also CASH ONLY so please prepare for that.

This restaurant is the one I always prefer. I go to plenty of restaurants but to this restaurant I go the most. The crew is very professional and the food they cook is so flavorful. I never decline to have a decent dinner here. I recommend this place with pleasure.

Lovely spot in the little town of Stockton. Everything was excellent: food, service, people, atmosphere. It was a Saturday night and they encouraged us to sit and stay as long as we'd like. A very special place, I'd highly recommend.

They serve large portions and for convenient prices. very friendly staff members. Fantastic work.
