Via Ponte Siciliano - Stockton

So there is a beautiful scenic hike from new hope to stockton . about an hour and 15 minutes to foot. we did this and enjoyed the beautiful colors and lights. I have to stockton, a beer in the local brewery. the plan was to get a uber back...NO driver around, phone is just 1.% it gets dark and cold. Boyfriend wants me to go back another hour and switch to the car. No, thanks. I stayed and entered this cozy, romantic restaurant, explained the situation. not only that they got me a charger for my phone, but allowed me to sit and drink wein while waiting for my feed. during the waiting I ordered the really delicious fennel salad (finocchio) with freshly baked rosmarin bread with extra virgin olive oil. I call and recit the menu for him. He asks me to put the order for the grilled salmon with basilikum lemon sauce, and I will have the pet mush. when he comes out of his adventurous, the warm and beautifully cooked food awaits us. what a tasty bite! great eating, reception, friendly and sympathetic service makes for our uncalculated expedition! I recommend via ponte , predicament or not !

The Sicilian food was beautifully crafted and delicious. The service was excellent, and the atmosphere was lovely.

Our food was very good. the rosemary chicken was tender and moist and not seasoned. the kalamari was great. service was friendly and helpful.

This is an excellent restaurant and I am quite surprised by the relatiw low overall rating under 4.0 that it currently has. I am not sure what could happen so that enough people there was a very low rating to the overall rating so much, but our experience was great. the service was very fast, polite, attentive, and eating was fantastic! I tried the Cucuzza soup (a Sicilian speciality), which was excellent and the pasta (fusilli I think) with Broccoli rave and was also amazing. Moreover, the outside seat (based directly on the walkway) was very pleasant considering that there is very little foot or car traffic on this road most time. and it is byob and about 150 feet of stockton liquors, which is one of the best liquors in nj. it is regrettable that the low rating stopped me from trying this restaurant much earlier. I'm glad I did it and definitely recommend it.

Great date night idea! Amazing staff amazing chef. This is a scratch kitchen so bring a bottle of wine and enjoy some great conversation.
