Pollo Campeon - Sterling

Never been to a Peruvian restaurant and I was pleasantly surprised. The ambience is very chill. Staff was very friendly despite my Spanish being non-existent.I ordered the beef plate which came on a bed of French fries topped with fried eggs with a side of rice and fried plantains.The rice was delicious, very tasty and the beef was good but I am not a fan of plantains, primarily because it tastes sweet.I also tried the juice that the server recommended, don't remember the name but it taste similar to Dr. Pepper.

Great place, great food!The ceviche and leche de tigre are soo good!

Food it's good, service is good atmosphere I would say mon-fri it's ok/good, but weekend it seems they have live entertainment and for the space of the restaurant I think its a little too small for the level of volume of the singers so it's a very difficult to hear what the servers are asking or to have a conversation with anyone.

Do yourselves a favor and do not come here. Soo many other Pollo joints in the area. The cashier guy told me it would be 10 mins to get my food, mind you, it's a Pollo joint.. It took them over 35 freakin mins.. No sorry, NOTHING!TERRIBLE.. JUST PLAIN TERRIBLE!

Best Peruvian chicken in northern VA. Great charcoal flavor to it, perfect amount of spices, moist breast meat. The fried plantains and beans are also outstanding.
