Contribuiți la feedbackTook the family in for lunch, it is a small place but clean and neat.....stacking plastic chairs and bare wooden tables did not do it for me. Wife had an egg salad sandwich and it was good... even if it only had a few potato chips with it....the coleslaw was REALLY tasty. I had a foot long hot dog which was all there but had only onion and tomato on it...relish and mustard would have been a nice touch. If there was a negative it was that the bun was actually in two pieces which allowed the hot dog to fall right through....not good. Grand daughter had a "large" chocolate milk that any where else would be a small and it was $2.49....a bit high.Everything considered, would not drive down from London again just for lunch here...
I recently started going to Pams on Saturday morning for breakfast and to read the Saturday free press paper. They have a great all you can eat brunch from 8 am to 1 pm.No problem parking both on the lot and some spots on the street. The servers are great and the food is hot and good portions when ordered off the menu. I am going to continue eating at Pams. Will be taking the whole family for a morning get together.
I visited twice in a week.Once alone on a week day. Food was good. I just seem to care about service. I drink my coffee pretty fast waiting for my food. My particular waitress would just stroll by not ask I needed coffee or notice my cup place out and away from me. I asked for more coffee but felt like it was a chore plus not a priority.I went back for the breakfast buffet on a Sat. Had to wait in line to get in. Normally I would not wait, but the person I was with had mentioned the buffet was good.We stood waiting to be seated yet could see a clean table for two and was told to wait. Yet we got that specific table. They seemed a bit confused.Come to hear was a power outage in part of the town so it was busy as people had no power at home.Food was okay. It was a buffet with steam table food as so you know some items will be dried out. For some reason I enjoyed the rice pudding and trifle they had for desert. Had two servings.Maybe because they were so busy I wasn't told I could get eggs done the way I want as part of the buffet. I overheard staff tell another table.Again my concern with coffee. I asked a waitress for coffee. She got the pot and served all the tables around me but didn't fill my cup. I don't think I did anything wrong to her. I say please and thank you. Don't hit on the waitresses, I tip.My friend knows the owner and talked to her. That waitress was new and her 1st buffet and they were so busy due to the power outage she was under pressure. I accept that. The owner poured me coffee. So over all I will give and the benefit of a doubt and go back again and reserve any negative things as an aboration due to the power outage and an overwhelmed new waitress. So I suggest you try it and make your own decision.
We stopped here recently with my daughters hockey team while in town for a tournament. They accommodated approx 25 of us even though it was a busy Sat morning. While I did not have the buffet there was plenty of choice and it looked very good. Many of the people in our party did have the buffet and really enjoyed it. The favourite was the deep fried french toast. We ended up speaking to the owner who informed us she started deep frying the toast in order to keep it from getting soggy on the buffet. It was delicious. I just had my usual ham and eggs. The food came out in a timely manner considering how busy it was. Everything was hot and and tasty. I would definitely go back here if I found myself in town during breakfast again.
I am surprised that this place does not receive more positive reviews.
