Chicken Coop - St. Peters

Very good, last second decision because I wanted fried chicken and it was close to work. Had Cole slaw and Mac and cheese for sides. Chicken was good with lightly breaded, crispy skin. Good taste, filling meal and plenty of options, reminds me of King Edwards.

Restuarant closed sometime before 7pm for at least the past several days. Called to order ahead around 6:30 yesterday and today, no answer. Google Maps says closes at 8pm, sign on the window says the same. I understand staffing issues but you need to adjust your posted hours. Had the chicken once before and it was good, but unpredictability in your hours dissapointed me.

If you're comparing it to KFC, you'll find the pieces if chicken are smaller. They must use little chickens. We got a 10 piece with two sides. About $22.00. The skin on the chicken was the best part. If you're in a hurry, call ahead or you will wait 20 minutes, even if there is no line.

The first time I came here it was like love at first bite. Each day that passed since my first delicious, delectable, taste of chicken coops 5 piece tenders I yearned for their crispiness to cross my lips again. Alas, not even a mere fortnight has passed and I have again sequestered chicken coops marvelous, spectacular, absolutely riveting 5 piece tenders. KFC watch out, chick fil a watch out, there’s a new valiant hero dishing out the most scrumptious chicken gods green earth has yet to see. Oh how the might have fallen, and chicken coop rises amongst them all!

This place is great. Cooked to order fried chicken and sides that are well worth the wait. One of the only places in town that has chicken gizzards on the menu. Chicken was delicious. Definitely our go to for fried chicken now!
