Wheelhouse Downtown - St. Louis

I was a little underwhelmed. Beginning with the conses, the restaurant was extremely loud, so it was difficult for my party to entertain each other. There was a DJ game and that's cool, but you really had to scream if you want to have a conversation. The food was super simple and super expensive. Usually I try to order something more complicated than what I usually do at home, but I couldn't find something like that on the menu. I ordered avocado toast, which ended very small pieces of toast with avocado, a hard boiled egg and all bagel season (not homemade, only the stuff you can get in the grocery store). I was still quite hungry after my meal, but I didn't want to buy more food because I just spent $15 on it. It was positive that the service was good and the drinks were good. I don't like orange juice, so I was pretty excited that they had many different breakfast drinks options. Beverages have been offered at a reasonable price. Lesson learned, I would return for drinks and parties, but not for a sitting meal.

There are three old warehouses that are converted into restaurants, all within one block from each other in this area. All play urban music far too loud for 4 in the afternoon. Eating was okay. Burger was good. Chicken nacho Appetizer tasted like it used weeks old linkover chicken. There are not many possibilities in downtown St. Louis, as there were decades ago passed over to the criminals. Get in and out here early before the fun and the games begin. And avoid the appetizers.

Came here, as it was close to where we were. There were not many other people inside food around dinner, but the service was fast and the food was good (really recommend the loaded Mac and cheese). Our bartender was incredibly welcoming and committed. She gave us recommendations on things in the area and made the experience so great. Thank you, Erin! Next time we're back in St. Louis!

Great place to grab Brunch with a big group and then a cardinal ball game. The food is actually better than you would expect what really is a bar that also works as a nightclub. Great location when you do everything in downtown to eat and go after most places!

The atmosphere was fun with great music and friendly staff. The drinks were delicious but the food wasn't great. It was edible, but didn't tickle the taste buds. I would still recommend trying this place out. It's a vibe and the atmosphere and drinks make it worth it!Food: 3/5
