Pearl's Oyster - St. Charles

Always a great little spot to sit and enjoy good seafood. The oysters are my favorite...of course. Drinks and service is always wonderful as well.

We came here after a day at the casino and wanted to get an appetizer and our food to go. I normally don't like to order seafood to go, but I've heard great things about this place. We ordered the crab and shrimp dip as our appetizer and was very pleased with it. I ordered the seafood boil to go and was really wowed by the flavor in the food. I can't wait to come back!

The delicate oysters for the appetizer and the chicken as the main course, accompanied by vegetables and potatoes, will leave your taste buds craving more. The service is outstanding, and enjoying the live band at the Bottleneck Blues makes the hour spent here well worth it.

Honestly, when oysters are part of your name, I expected a lot more. They were not only small but also grainy. We asked about the King crab legs and were told there was only one order left for $150. While it was a special occasion, that price felt outrageous.

This overpriced place shouldn't be anywhere near a casino. You're taking a gamble eating here. The food is way too expensive for the quality. I was highly disappointed with the lobster tail. I figured cause it's an oyster bar that the seafood would be good. I was wrong as two left feet in two right shoes. I rather had lost my money on the casino cause I would've had a small chance on getting a return on my spendings. Lesson learned and I won't make the same bad decision twice.
