Niko's Tavern - St. Charles

Food was great! Our server Jess, I believe, was super sweet and attentive. I was expecting regular American fare but to my surprise and delight there was saganaki on the menu!!! Since I'm on a saganaki kick lately, it couldn't have made me happier. We also had wings and a black and blue burger both were perfectly cooked and if I didn't live 2 hours away I'd frequent often BUT if I'm ever in the area I'll be sure to stop in.

Not impressed. Waited a long time for the food and it was cold. Waitress charged me wrong price for the salmon. Said she would correct it but she brought it back and it was wrong again. Niko's was much better...

Tried Stevie D's for the 1st time. The place looks great Cream of broccoli soup was really good Crispy chicken wrap was a little sloppy/wet, idk if it was cheese or ranch that was dripping out but maybe just put the sauce on the side to dip Alfredo was good w/ 2 large pieces of toasted bread for dipping. Mac and cheese burger and Stevie D burgers (barbecue, onion rings and bacon) were also good. Should've ordered them medium instead of med well Rib basket was good and a large portion Service was not fast but we were in the mood to hangout anyway Bill for 5 was a little high $89 before tip with 1 glass of wine. Portions were all large we have enough for 3 lunches tomorrow. We will be back

Update: Transition of the location to new name Stevie D 's , reflecting new ownership by former manager. Can 't put my finger on 100%, but can feel the difference of onsite ownership/management. went in tonight and enjoyed a fantastic salmon dinner. Sat at the bar and must say the best bar service I have experienced in the past few years. Bartender was very busy with a healthy crowd, but maintained bar vision , which is a dying art, and was aware and attentive to customers ' needs. Would love to have the price point a couple bucks less, but will gladly continue to pay for quality food and hope the attention to service and detail continues. Must also mention a good solo guitar/singer was nice tough tonight (after 9pm I think). Continue to hope good things for this place.

Average food, very inconsistent. Owners don’t seem to know how to run a business. One of the owners was shouting across the bar rudely to a customer on my last visit. Won’t be back
