Kimmer's Ice Cream - St. Charles

I usually love this place, but today was a different experience. I ordered a salted caramel ice cream for curbside pickup, but it did not taste like the usual. We are regular customers and there was no salted caramel swirl in the pint. I was disappointed with what I paid for. The girl at the counter said it wasn't packed there and was done elsewhere. Next time, I will make sure to watch them pack it in front of me. The ice cream had a light caramel taste but was not worth the price. The online offer for 20% off with the code Tuesday 20 was not available when I ordered. Overall, I was very disappointed with the whole experience.

I visited Kimmer's Ice Cream on June 17, 2022 after a friend recommended trying the Parent Trap ice cream. It was absolutely amazing. The traditional ice cream shop had friendly staff and a welcoming atmosphere. I ordered the Parent Trap ice cream, which featured cookies and cream mixed with swirls of peanut butter in a chocolate-coated waffle bowl. The peanut butter was smooth and creamy, not overpowering the rest of the ice cream. The single scoop was large and definitely enough to share between two people. I highly recommend Kimmer's and will definitely be returning again and again.

This is my favorite ice cream place in town. I wish they sold it in more locations. The St. Charles location is always crowded, but that's a good sign. Their cake batter flavor is the best!

I'm okay, the girls are nice. but pay for a creative egg and pay no more cool. I asked if I would get a hit if it cost less, they said yes, but they still calculated the price for 2 creatures.

Friendly people, cute shop, and great choices of ice cream. I loved the chocolate peanut butter!
