The Baked Bear - St Charles

The small custom ice sandwich shop has a delicious vegan chocolate chip ice cream and a vegan cookie. While the selection may be limited, it's great to see vegan options available for both desserts. When my friend and I visited, she inquired about vegan choices, and to my surprise, they confirmed they had some. I ended up trying the vegan cookie, and I couldn't be happier with my experience!

Unfortunately, the restaurant was closed on Saturday, September 2, 2023, at 12:30 PM when we arrived. There was a sign indicating that it was temporarily closed. We were first-time visitors who traveled from St. Louis County to check it out. Instead, we ended up going down the street to Sugarbot Creamery, which was also our first time visiting. We were quite disappointed and feel it's not worth the effort to try The Baked Bear again if they can't keep their hours accurate. My kids were very let down.

The food is delicious! Be sure to ask them to warm up your ice cream sandwich; it makes it much easier to enjoy. I do wish the prices were slightly lower for each item. Additionally, they don’t offer any products containing peanut butter, which could be a positive or negative depending on your preferences!

I enjoyed the cookies here. I'm not particularly fond of soft cookies or cakes, so I opted for the chocolate chip and white macadamia nut cookies. They were fresh and well-prepared. I appreciated the nicely decorated seating area and the well-lit display stands. The staff was friendly and provided helpful suggestions.

Yummy! Chose 2 different flavored cookies for my ice cream sandwich. It didn't disappoint! Recommend this fun treat!
