Thai Express - St. Andrew's Parish

SO SLOW. If there is even 1 person lined up DO NOT WAIT. That person will be there for the next 10 minutes (at least) then your order will be made. Keep on walking and on your way back past with whatever you get to eat in the food court and wave at the people still waiting for their food to me made. No communication between staff orders always getting mixed up. Cutlery has to be asked for 90% of the time. Thai Express is my favourite fast food place but this locations specifically could not care less about the time they take to make a single order. The person that takes the order is always in the back so you have to wait for them to come out eventually or the chef has to go find them to do it (unless they do it themselves).

We have eaten at other pad thai. But this one is worse. We ordered vegan padthai and it came with egg. So took it back and one of the cooks argued that in canada it comes with egg...Vegan means no egg) . But the cashier and the second asian cook said will make another one. This time no egg but less tofu. Very very dissapointed. Did not taste good at all. Will never order again.

In the food court and not sure what I wanted to decided on Thai Express for the Pad Sew. I have had it a few times from Thai Express and it can be greasy and not much protein but it was what I craved when left with food court choices. I ordered my food to go and was waiting for it. The customer in front of me ordered and the gave it to her on a plate but she wanted it to go. I saw them put it into a box and then the staff rinses the plate with water to reuse. Ewww, they can't afford to throw out a ten cent plate even though they charge more than $10 a meal? What if the next person had an allergy to what was on the plate previously? They gave me my meal in a larger container and not their usual take out box. The food tasted ok when I was eating it but in the middle of the night I woke up sick. Will definitely stay away from Thai Express in the future.

Thai Express is one of my favorite fast food stores. Over the years I have always had decent quality plates in all Montreal and Ottawa locations I visited. But this one in West Edmonton Mall is just horrible, the service is nice. But the food is just horrible. I went there 5+ times because I thought the first terrible experience was just an accident. Oh man was I wrong. The color was not right, the taste was not right (too sweet), the beef I had was mostly fat or non-eatable parts, vegetables not fresh at all, EVERY SINGLE TIME. I will never go back to this location. I won't give up on Thai Express yet, hopefully I will find a good location in Edmonton.
