Yes, this restaurant is NOT pretty in any sense of the word and it is not super clean, but the FOOD is well done and has great flavour. <br/ <br/ Butter Chicken...great grilled taste in a wonderfully flavoured sweet sauce.<br/ <br/ Lamb Kebab...to die for, I liked it better than the butter chicken.<br/ <br/ Chan Masala...lots of flavour with a good cilantro taste.<br/ <br/ Naan...made fresh and served hot...wonderfully done.<br/ <br/ Service: quick and friendly, once you figure out how to order...there is a board on the wall and you order at the till.
New Butter Chicken Champ. Move over Punjabi Sweet House...you have declined and are now replaced in the category of Butter Chicken. When I walked in...I almost walked right out... this is a true hole in the wall bit spurred on by US reviews I held strong and ordered the Butter chicken many of you have raved about. I told the chef to skip the rice and he offered a second naan which I heartily accepted. Delivered on a Styrofoam plate and bowl, my naan and butter chicken arrived. The color was deeper and darker than I am used to but I didn't let that dissuade me. Pouring the bowl onto my plate, I could see right away a healthy helping of true tandoori fired dark chicken with nice charring. No flavorless cubes of breast meat hastily added here. The sauce immediately stuck me as the right texture and thickness with one standout flavor: Cardamom. At first I thought it was a mistake as it overpowered the other spices. Later I learned from the chef that roasted cardamom is their signature flavor. A note on the Naan: I can't remember the last time I have received a more perfectly roasted fluffy Naan ...a perfect complement to this butter chicken gem. I can't wait to come back and try some of their other offerings. Don't let the look of the place fool you...this hole in the wall is worth it!
This is a great little hole in the wall. The food is made fresh and is nice and hot! I had the paalak paneer and my friend had the chicken tikka masala. Both were delicious! The rice was really good as well. I would definitely say visit this little place after the rush!
Best Chana masala in the area! Always spicy, always yummy! Great rice as well : and vegan friendly (not the naan!
