Contribuiți la feedbackThis is by far my favorite Chinese place in springfield. they can almost all vegan. they are knowledgeable. let them just know that they are vegan and they want to exchange the meat w/ tofu or white gluten (I beat the tofu) and leave any fish sauce. it will be some of the best vegan foods they ever had. I personally recommend sesam tofu (sesam huhn w/ tofu subbed for huh) and orange tofu (orangen w/ tofu subbed for the huh). I can only describe her tofu. is as if they were in a position to sprinkle/dry silk tofu, make it crispy on the outside, but silk and on the inside to delish. Thank you later.
Okay, they have tofu contested....wonderful! they get huge portions and great prices! many vegan options.
There is a handful of vegan options on the whole menu. If you go to lunch, give them the lunch menu, but just ask for the full menu. the owner was very friendly and helpful. pickings are slim in springfield, so this is a good safe option. they also had a nice selection of cocktails.
Many dishes can be made vegan when they ask them to leave the fish sauce. I like the basilikumreis with tofu when they order it sharply, be prepared to be very hot!
This southeast side restaurant is one of my favorites in the not so vegetarian friendly capital city of Illinois. The quality of the vegetables is fresh and the number of dishes on the menu is extensive. I have three favorites that I rotate through. Kung Pao Tofu with Peanuts, General Tso's Tofu and Chinese Eggplant with Garlic Sauce. Veg appetizers are limited to Veg Egg Roll, Fried Wonton, Fried Tofu, and Edamame. Wheat Gluten is available but I have never tried do to avoiding Gluten as much as possible these days.
