Comal County Tacos - Spring Branch

Amazing little hole-in-the-wall that will leave you addicted after you get up the nerve to try it for the first time!

Holy Moly!!. I love Comal County Tacos! So much, that sometimes the children 'accidentally ' miss the bus so I can go by there after I drop them off!! The tacos are huge! The beef fajitas are delicious and have onions, bell peppers and jalapenos cooked in with them. The carne guisada is great, so is the picadillo, asada and barbacoa. Heck, I haven 't had anything there that I didn 't think was good. And, the staff is very friendly to boot

Half the staff doesn't speak english, it may not be as clean/orderly as your local macdonalds (I mean, the building is in a refurbished small orange colored house), but this place is THE local breakfast shop. The food is fresh, authentic, incredibly cheap, and tastes pretty great to boot. You'll easily find a line (though it moves quickly) on any given day. I love their breakfast tacos, and eat them regularly. It's the not-so-secret-secret of bulverde mexican food, and thank god it's right down the road!

This place has some incredible tacos! The chef could take the most unlikely ingredients and turn them into a culinary masterpiece. I’ve nearly tried everything on the menu, and I can’t get enough. If Starbucks can charge $5 for a cup of coffee, these talented ladies could easily charge $10 for their heavenly tortilla-wrapped delights.

Sabor is amazing!!! This little Mexican lady dominates the taco scene in the Texas Hill Country. It's a humble spot, but the flavors are absolutely unmatched! I go out of my way from New Braunfels just to get one of their breakfast tacos, and these ladies really know what they're doing! The juicy pulled brisket with onions and jalapeños is fantastic! I also love how they let you mix different combos in the same taco. I’m craving one right now! I've never had a bad experience here! Flavor is the key! Long live the Comal County Taco Ladies!!!!
