Brack's Backyard - Spicewood

This establishment is heaven sent. You will not find a better Detroit style pizza place in the state of Texas. But that’s not all; there is not a bad thing on the menu. Cracker thin crust, Cheesey Bread, New York Style, PIZZA ROLLS! If you like a Cuban Sandwich then you will love their “Cubano” If you don’t like a Cuban Sandwich; you will still love this pizza. Too amazing not to experience at least once in your lifetime. They also make their own beer. Wow! It seems to me; from my experience, that Brack’s Backyard is capable of delivering high quality food, service, and atmosphere anytime they are open. As long as the gates are open you will not be disappointed in this establishment. I like some other pizza places in the hill country but Brack’s Backyard we completely love. We just made it out to Brack's Backyard for the first time today for my husband’s birthday. All the great reviews for this place were true. We had the Mother Trucker thin crust. It was amazing! We also tried several of their craft beersall amazing! They have a cute little place to get together and the owners are so nice and personable. I can’t believe we have found such a jewel in our little piece of Spicewood heaven. We will definitely return and hope others will try this place. You won’t regret it. What a find close to our house. They serve Detroit (square) and regular round pizzas and they are really good. Actually we all thought they were better than East Side pies and similar in Austin. Definitely worth a stop if you are in the area. Kids got the cheese.. they are pretty picky and they like this better than any place they go to in Austin south of Lady Bird Lake. Son got a Detroiter, and we got an “on the fly” creation that was amazing. By the slice at lunch. The adult males got 3 slices each and it was plenty.
