I came over maloko at one of my extended weeks walks when I was on the way to home. I have hunger, but instead of running on the way to the first pub, I was still complaining about the food choices in camberwell. there was no ram. good enough. but there was no cake either. Why didn't there be a cake? then I found this little jewel. on the menu in front it said galettes, which did not have a word I heard before, so I went in to find out. it turns out that it is a vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free creamperie. Hello. I am not a vegetarian, but I prefer the vegetarian option most often.
If they like a small place, with a relaxed atmosphere and good eating it is. some customers were on their own faust with their laptops; others in two and three; we were eight, celebrating two birthdays, and the place worked for all of us. It was open, happy, not to move pressure, just because they are finished. eating was tasty and filling and the staff relaxed. be simple and enjoy.
Really disappointed by this place. I wanted to support this local business, and eating was good from previous experience, but an hour and a helped wait for a galette. they only have hotplates. waited mins for a watery paprika and they did not seem to worry at all, I am not sorry for waiting. my friend ordered a juice and after having hunted for mins, the machine said broken. then she ordered a hot chocolate that never arrived and when she went to get her money back, she had to explain why, as if the guy didn't believe her. I am happy to wait something if ot means that I can support a local business, but here to visit threw out all our schedules. not recommended
The decor is minimalist. It's a mishmash of random furniture. The concrete floor was pimped up a bit with pink and yellow dots, the walls decked out with art (apparently from local artists) and the ceiling was covered with coffee bags from Brazil. Jacintha from Urban Pixxels and I got comfy on the sofa in the corner while we studied the menu. The choice was abundant and all sounded delicious. the other thing that stood out on the menu was the price. They all go for about to pounds a pop. I went for a red goat pancake with goat's cheese, beetroot and sweet potatoes. Jacintha has a Mediterranean version with asparagus, tomatoes and cheese. You can order the pancakes in the back kitchen...read more
