Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen - SOUTHINGTON

This place is quite frustrating. I've been here a few times and encountered issues every time. They claim to have limited options, with no chicken sandwiches available and only two sodas that they serve. It feels like they just don’t want to accommodate your requests and only offer what they feel like providing. Additionally, their ride service is inconsistent; they only order one car at a time, which means you often have to wait for the next one without any explanation. While it's a convenient spot for a late-night snack, I really dislike the dishonesty.

We left the lake and saw it on our way home. The service was fast. The chicken, fries and cookies were just delicious. Fresh, hot and seasoned. If you are nearby, it is definitely worth the stop.

I have the $6 chicken sandwich and frozen strawberry limonade meal. The lemonade was brilliant, icy cool and refreshing on this hot day. The chicken sandwich was just terrible. I had the sandwich many times before and love it, but it was something wrong with this. It looked normal, but if I bite, I couldn't chew it. I thought it was just gristle, so spit it out and took another bite, the same. The whole sandwich was like that. It was strict and impossible to chew, so I threw it out. If I hadn't pissed the drive, I would have returned it. Of course, they gave me no reception so I can't do much of it now. Very disappointed. There was such a bad taste that it will be a long time before I try to go back.

I've visited this Popeyes several times and generally have a better experience compared to most locations. However, today the chicken was disappointing. The wings, which are typically nice and flaky, were soggy and mushy this time. The tender was also cold in the middle. If anything, they should be cooked a little longer; no one wants undercooked chicken. It seems like there's a significant management issue within the franchise overall. It's a shame, as I believe Popeyes has the potential to taste better than other chicken spots.

I visited the drive-thru today around noon. The woman at the speaker kindly asked me to wait while she assisted another customer. When she came back, she was extremely helpful and made a wonderful suggestion for the frozen strawberry lemonade. The food was hot and fresh, and her beautiful smile made the experience even better. My husband and I left feeling fantastic. Being from the South, this felt like a taste of home for us.
