Stop The World Cafe - Southend-on-Sea

After years and years of custom at Stop The World, we still cannot fault the food. Friendly service. Still a no booking policy so be ready to wait for a table.

I went to the restaurant with three non-vegetarian friends and asked if there were vegan options available, which there were. We sat down and received menus, with the specials listed on a board. While my friends ordered different dishes, I opted for the avocado and mushroom in pesto dressing on sourdough toast. The waitress was knowledgeable about what was not vegan-friendly. I had a pot of tea with soy milk, served with a tea strainer and a beautiful teacup. The food was excellent and I really enjoyed it. The service was attentive to our needs and without any mistakes. The bill came to £11, which I felt was a fair price for the quality of the meal. I will definitely return with my partner.

Beautiful place to eat and drink for something, also is pleased to see a series of options for sweet and vegan. I ordered the bagel and an ice cream that were both perfect, as well as a hearty disc of chocolate pudding cake. they have a beautiful and varied counter of fresh cake that it is difficult to decide! helpful and friendly staff, beautiful atmosphere and eat, nothing extraordinary than a beautiful place.

One of my favourite places to eat in Leigh. Has amazing food and drink choices. The food is always very tasty and delicious. My favourite thing about this cafe is the cake selection, wide variety and very big slices as well. The staff are always so lovely and helpful. Have been here a few times and will be going again hopefully soon. Sometimes you do have to wait for a table for a few minutes but never a long wait.

I heartily recommend 10/10! nice and quick service and friendly manager Louise! delicious coffee, huge selection of cakes including lots of vegans and gluten free! I recommend the avocado fritters. very tasty! I will come back there for sure!
