Bacchus - Southend-on-Sea

We celebrated my daughter’s engagement at this beautiful restaurant on Saturday night, hiring the room downstairs for the party. The whole night was fabulous. The communication and interaction had with Harry and Natasha before the party was friendly and thorough, ensuring that all our needs (including dietary ones) were met. On the actual night, the downstairs space was absolutely perfect for us, beautifully decorated and private. The food was fantastic and we were really well looked after. We were allocated our own barman downstairs, George who was brilliant, very attentive and such a nice guy, as were all members of staff that we encountered. The party couldn’t have gone better and we were so pleased that we had chosen this special venue to celebrate at. Harry, Natasha and the whole team obviously work so hard to make everyone feel welcome and it really is one of (if not the) most beautiful restaurant and bar in Southend I would thoroughly recommend San Fairie Ann to anyone looking to host a party, or just eat and drink in a wonderful atmosphere!

We had high tea last weekend for a family members 40th birthday. The restaurant speaks for itself as far as decor ambience is concerned. However, the food was fantastic, excellent choices for us fussy eaters (well me! , and Harry his team were perfectly welcoming attentive. A fantastic afternoon had by all.

We hired the private dining room for a family birthday party. Excellent service, food and care. Any minor issues were dealt with swiftly and professionally. A gorgeous room, attentive staff and our bespoke requirements catered for. Very warm and kind staff who truly looked after us. If you are after a private but atmosphere filled dinner then I would highly recommend.

We haven’t been to San Fairie Ann for many years, and only really returned on recommendation, but it hasn’t lost its character, nor charm we left really impressed. We came on a busy Saturday night with a group for a meal, the food was really good and enjoyed by all a good balance of flavour in my main dish. The singer they had playing for most of the evening was a nice added touch which a large crowd at the bar were certainly enjoying, although it was a bit too loud for us at times.
