The Horse Jockey - South Staffordshire

Simply the best pub in the village. Staff are very friendly and always give great customer service. Anyone passing through Penkridge at any given time should pop into the Horse Jockey, you won`t be disappointed.

Called in before the fish and chip cruise,this is a good old style pub, good for sport fans , a wolves pub, nice decor,good ale.,good service. Looks like it would be good for nighttime entertainment,good variety of ale,would have liked to have been able to...stay longer.

Limited choice for vegans. No soup of the day, no olives for the bead and olives, no decaf tea. Desperately searching for something I might fancy that is vegan, but not a full meal, I just got frustrated and ended up with a side of...chips. You could presume I’m a middle class snob, but I’m actually not. I just want to eat well without consuming animal products. Clearly I didn’t eat well today. It wasn’t my choice to come here and I won’t again. I have been to better weatherspoons who actually have dedicated menus for vegans, vegetarians, gluten free etc. Ember pubs need to get with the times! Blinds were thick with dust. Menus sticky. I could go on but it’s boring ....

Lovely selection of traditional ales served by welcoming staff with smiles. Loved it and would have stayed for a couple more. Good old local house
